Summer is here!

Time really has been flying and finally they opened our pool area, which means for us that summer is here. Our son has been eagerly waiting for this day and he’s been talking about it for months. Many of you asked me on Instagram why they opened the pool this late even though the weather has been so warm and summerlike already quite a long time. The main reason for this is probably that the kids still have school this week, so there wouldn’t have been that many swimmers besides us. Plus it would have been pointless to hire a lifeguard to supervise an empty pool area 😉 .

So, Luca will start his summer vacation on next Friday and will not attend any summer camps or clubs during this summer, he’ll be with me all summer. Or we will certainly not just hang at home and our pool area will be much used for sure. For openers, Luca will leave for a little trip with his dad on next week, as the boys are heading towards the south coast and my dear friends from Finland will come here to our place.

For the summer, we don’t really have any bigger travel plans except for one week-long trip to Finland in August. My husband has couple weeks’ summer leave in July and at that time we thought we would focus on Madrid and its surrounding areas. There are so much to see and do, even though we have been living here for many years. And of course, we have to schedule few amusement parks and water parks too to those weeks, Luca has been talking about them since last fall!

So, just a quick update this time. What plans you have for this summer? Are you already enjoying your summer vacation?
