Quick and easy mug bread

It’s time to share a real quick and easy bread recipe! No need for waiting as this bread bun will be ready in just a few minutes. Just mix all the ingredients, bake in microwave and you’ll have a fresh bun in your hands. Which is by the way gluten-free, milk-free, sugar-free and yeast-free and also suitable for low-carb diet when using almond flour!



¾ dl of almond flour (or oat flour if it fits in your diet)
1/3 tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 egg
1 tbsp of water or other liquid

(For additional flavor, season the bread with onion or garlic powder, plus herbs or spices like ground fennel and cumin. It’s also lovely with poppy or sesame seeds.)


• Mix all the ingredients in a cup with a spoon or fork carefully.
• Bake in the microwave at full power for about 90 seconds to 2 minutes or until the bun is baked. Don’t overbake it, or the end result will be dry.
• Cut the bun in slices and enjoy it with your favorite toppings, just like you would do a normal sandwich.


The bun is at its best just straight from the microwave, so don’t let it wait;).

      I actually tried that first when I started this blog, but got so many messages people telling me that they don’t own kitchen scales.. So I stoped doing it. But I’ll consider starting doing that again! XXX
