Our weekend in Toledo in pictures
If you ever travel to Madrid, plan a day-trip to Toledo! We had a lovely weekend getaway there, and it charmed us again. And did you know, that Toledo used to be the capital of Spain before the king decided that Madrid should be the capital? Me neither, before my husband enlightened me a little. Moreover, Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage.
We stayed at Hotel Eurostars Palacio Buenavista (click link for more info about the hotel), which was once again an excellent choice of my husband. It was a mix of history and modernity, luxury and tranquillity and worked perfectly for us. The hotel had a spa with beauty services, a spacious garden, a swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and indoor parking. Ooh and a delicious breakfast with custom made omelettes. What else can you ask for?
We didn’t have any special plans, so we just went with the flow. We hung by the pool, had mouth-watering dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Spain (I will tell you more about this soon 😉 ), strolled around the old town, stopped for a drinks and ice creams and just spent quality time as a family.
Our weekend trip to Toledo was a perfect start for summer and already on next Friday we are off to next adventure!
