Healthy Mango Lassi

Mango lassi has to be my favorite drink at Indian restaurants, but it is super easy to make at home too! The best end result you’ll get by using fresh mangoes (as ripe as possible), but frozen cubes are also a great option. Usually, lassi is made at the restaurants by using full fat yogurt and whole milk + sugar more than needed, but this version of it actually makes good for you and nourishes.

Mango lassi is incredibly simple to make and tastes more like a dessert, so prepare to get addicted!



INGREDIENTS (2-3 servings):
500g plant-based yogurt of your choice, I used Alpro plain with coconut this time and it was super yummy (if dairy products aren’t problem for you, you can also use Greek yogurt)
400g fresh and ripe mango chunks or frozen mango cubes
1 tablespoon agave or maple syrup/ coconut sugar
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 handfuls of ice cubes (no need if using frozen mango)
1-2 dl plant-based milk, I prefer almond milk (amount depends on how thick drink you want)


• Add all the ingredients into a blender and let it run until smooth.
• Taste it to see if the sweetness is to your liking and adjust sweetener according to your taste if needed.
• Serve cold to enjoy this creamy healthy mango drink.

Ps. Works well on the next day too, so can be prepared already the night before.
