Green Tea Mango Smoothie
They say that green tea is one of the healthiest beverages on the planet, so why not to include it into your smoothie! This magical tea is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful health effects on the body and as its quite mild tasting it works perfectly in smoothies even if you aren’t the biggest tea lover. And attention all the coffee drinkers: Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce that wanted and a lot needed effect early in the morning 😉 . What a great and delicious way to start these darker mornings!
The ginger mentioned in the ingredients list is not obligatory, but I highly recommend trying it. It brings nice spark to this refreshing and nourishing drink, and it also has some flu fighting powers that we all need at this point of the year for sure.
Ingredients for two servings:
4 dl brewed and fully chilled green tea (prepare it the night before)
4 dl frozen mango cubes
1 medium-sized ripe banana
5 dl tightly packed kale or spinach
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 handful mint leaves
Optional, but highly recommended: 2 cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- So simple: Just throw everything into a blender and let it run until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!
