Easter holidays are coming: Beach or Ski?
Since heading back to work in January, I think the most of us have been longing for an Easter break, which is really late this year. Our son has 10 days break from school during the Easter, so it was really easy decision to book a family holiday. But where are we going this time?
Spain is actually really a perfect place for an Easter break as you can always choose between beach or skiing. Yes, believe it or not Spain is a fantastic place to go skiing. Or have them both during the same holiday! It’s for example only a couple of hours drive from Malaga to Sierra Nevada, so it’s really possible and doable.
I’m not that much into winter sports, but my husband loves skiing, so we have been there many times. In a nutshell Sierra Nevada ski resort is located at Pradollano in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and it’s the southernmost ski resort in Europe. The village or the main part of the village is located in 2.100m. and top lifts goes up to 3.400m! It’s only 32 km from Granada, and the easiest way to get there is by car, but good public transportation connections are also available. So, it really is easy to combine both beach and skiing!
But as you may have guessed, we are not heading for snowy landscapes, we are going to spend next holiday on the south coast. And to be a little more specific, on Torrox costa and Nerja. Yay, I couldn’t be more excited! We are staying again at Olée Nerja Holiday Rentals by Fuerte Group (that used to be Fuerte Calaceite) at Torrox-Costa, which is only 5 minutes from Nerja and Torrox. Super easy and convenient choice as we already know all the good restaurants, grocery stores, best beaches and playgrounds. It’s going to be so much fun and just relaxing. Or as relaxing as being on a vacation with one 4 and a half year old boy can be 😉 .
Which one you prefer, beach or ski? What are your plans for Easter break?
